Week One - 24/01/11 - The Meeting

Well this was our first day back at Uni and we (May, Alex, Tom and myself) got together as a group to discuss what we were going to do and how we were going to do it.

We decided that to keep the characters in keeping with one another and in the same sort of style Alex would be in charge of designing the Badger, Dog and Fox characters, which he had already done and completed a fantastic maquette of what the Badgers would look like. This maquette/sculpt will be later cast in plaster in a two part mould, and later be the basis of the final foam latex puppet.

Tom was in charge of Barney, the male character in our animation, he was also set with designing the interior of the house, which he would be living in.

 

May was in charge of sorting out the storyboard, animatic and organising the second year students. She met up with Adrian Tooth, who had agreed to take the rough storyboard designed by May and redrawn/design it ready to me made into the animatic.

For this week my task was to take the designs of the Fox and knock up a maquette/sculpt and also design a working armature for it. The sculpt I will make will then cast and eventually turned into a foam latex puppet.
