I did try making the head directly onto the body but it never looked quite right so I ripped it off and started again, making it separately so I could work on it more easily.
I then worked on the ears, taking equal pieces of plasticine and working on them one at a time carefully fixing them to the head.
I then attached the head to the body and began work on the foxes jowls, working on them in exactly the same way as the ears.
To finish the maquette off I added some fur detail the foxes chest, some simple detail to the foxes feet (added paws) and finally smoothed the whole thing off as best I could, ready for casting at the end of the week.
